Promotor of the year

Prof. Rick Grobbee, chair Julius Center, and prof. Jan Kimpen from Pediatrics – also UMC Utrecht – have been elected promotor of the year 2006. This last year, each of them guided eight researchers to the PhD-title.

The ‘Promotor of the Year’-title is an election of the ‘U-blad’, a weekly paper of the Utrecht University (UU). Since 1988, this university paper yearly checks which MD within the UU guided the most scientific promotions. In 2003 and in 2005, Grobbee managed to become the most productive promotor as well. On the all-time UU-list, Grobbee has risen to the seventeenth place with 59 promotions overall.
