Prof. Rick Grobbee receives award for outstanding scientific achievements

On Friday March 29, Prof. Diederick E. Grobbee of the Julius Center received the Prevention Award of the German Cardiac Society and the German Heart Foundation. The award marks outstanding scientific achievements in research on prevention of cardiovascular disease. The ceremony, at which Prof. Grobbee delivered the Honorary Award Lecture on Prevention, took place during a plenary session at the 74 the Annual Meeting of the German Cardiac Society in Mannheim, Germany. Previous recipients include Prof. Salim Yusuf, Hamilton, Canada and Prof. Sir Richard Peto, Oxford, UK.
