Professor Bert Brunekreef appointed KNAW academy professor

The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) has appointed Professor Bert Brunekreef as academy professor. The main reason for his appointment is his authority in the field of air pollution, environment and health. Bert Brunekreef is professor of Environmental Epidemiology and director of the interfaculty Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences (IRAS) in Utrecht. He is also affiliated with the Julius Center.
