Use of antibiotics increases chances of new ear infection

Using antibiotics for the treatment of ear infections in children can increase the chances of recurrence within 2.5 years. This is the main conclusion of research conducted by epidemiologist Maroeska Rovers of the Julius Center published in the British Medical Journal of 1st July, 2009.
