Inaugural lecture Yvonne van der Schouw on 2nd November 2009

Yvonne van der Schouw will accept her position as Professor of Chronic Disease Epidemiology by delivering an inaugural lecture on Monday 2nd November, 2009. On 1st December 2008 she was appointed by the Executive Board of Utrecht University.

The key question during her lecture will be if and how aging of the ovaries and the vascular system are related. Is vascular aging one of the consequences of ovarian aging, or vice versa? Or are ovarian and vascular aging signs of general physical aging? Yvonne van der Schouw will dedicate herself to solving this chicken-or-egg question in the next few years.
