Biostatistics symposium “Inference in Clinical
Research” on June 15th, 2010

On Tuesday, June 15 professor Kit Roes gave his inaugural speech at Utrecht University. Preceding the oration, the biostatistics section of the Julius Center and the Biometrical Section (BMS) of the Dutch Society for Statistics and Operations Research and the Dutch region (ANed) of the International Biometric Society held a scientific symposium on statistical inference in clinical research.

Three presentations (by George Borm, Andy Grieve and Pierre Verweij) were given on the theme "New developments in clinical trials" and three presentations (by Mark van der Laan, Wiebe Pestman and Willem van der Wal) on the theme "Causal inference".
